Privacy Policy

Hitomoji is a daily-kanji iOS app. There is no account and no login.

What we collect

On the device only

• Your starting point and reason for learning Japanese (chosen in onboarding).
• Your day index (which card you are on) and whether today's card has been read.
• A wallpaper or widget configuration you set yourself.

This state lives in an App Group on your phone and is optionally mirrored to your iCloud key-value store so a reinstall or a new phone can restore progress. We cannot read iCloud data.

Purchases

Payments go through Apple. We use RevenueCat to check whether your Apple ID is entitled to Hitomoji. RevenueCat receives an anonymous app user identifier generated on device, purchase receipts, and product identifiers. We do not receive your name, email, or payment card.

We do not

• Create an account for you.
• Collect your email address.
• Run analytics SDKs, advertising SDKs, or crash reporters in v1.
• Sell or share personal information.
• Track you across apps or websites.

Permissions

Hitomoji does not need photo library, camera, location, contacts, or microphone access for v1.

Children

The app is rated 4+. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. There is no account to delete.
